Lead Instructor
Kalysta
Kalysta began her riding journey at just 8 years old, and her passion for horses has only grown since. A dedicated competitor in the California Gymkhana Association, she’s a well-known face in the local arena—most recently earning the AA Overall Champion Buckle for CGA District 1.
One of Kalysta’s proudest accomplishments is training her horse, Blue, to master every gymkhana pattern—a true reflection of her skill, patience, and the strong bond she builds with her horses.
As an instructor, Kalysta brings that same care and clarity to her students. She’s known for her patient, encouraging teaching style, helping riders of all levels gain confidence, master new skills, and discover the joy of connecting with horses.
From young enthusiast to champion rider and coach, Kalysta’s journey is driven by heart, hard work, and a deep love for the equestrian world.

Lead Instructor
Brittany
With over 30 years of experience in the saddle, Brittany is a seasoned equestrian whose journey is defined by dedication, resilience, and a true passion for the sport. Her love for barrel racing has led to multiple buckle wins, record-setting runs, and top-ten rankings in competitive circuits.
After stepping away to start a family and raise two children, Brittany returned to the arena with even greater determination. Her comeback reflects not only her skill but also the deep, enduring bond she shares with horses.
Today, Brittany continues to chase her barrel racing goals while inspiring others with her story of perseverance and passion. Her experience and achievements make her a powerful example of what’s possible when talent meets heart—and never quits.
MEET THE HORSES
Great Horses Make Great Riders.
Our lesson horses are hand-selected and specially trained to fit our program. Each one offers a unique experience, helping riders grow in different ways and become more well-rounded and confident in the saddle.
Riding multiple horses builds versatility, skill, and trust—and we take great pride in the care of our equine partners.
Our horses are healthy, happy, and love their jobs. They receive regular vet checkups, farrier visits, chiropractic care, MagnaWave, red light, and BEMER therapy. Their nutrition is professionally managed, and they benefit from top-tier care every step of the way.
When you ride with us, you can feel great knowing your horse partner is respected, well-loved, and thriving.

Outlaw
2013 | Quarter Horse | 15.2h
Outlaw is the strong, silent type. This black beauty is as steady as they come, excelling in gymkhana patterns but happiest cruising on a quiet trail. Calm, dependable, and always kind, he’s the perfect partner for riders looking to build trust and have fun. Apples and salt licks are the way to his heart.

Picasso
2010 | Paint | 15.3h
Picasso is our lovable goofball—full of personality and always the life of the barn. With his striking black and white coat and a playful attitude, he keeps riders laughing with his silly quirks and occasional funny moments. He’s a favorite for trail rides and barrel racing, and he’ll do just about anything for a cuddle or a snack (or ten).

Clifford
"The Big Red Horse"
2008 | Paint | 15.1h
Clifford is a true cowboy’s horse with a heart as big as his build. Once a trail warrior and baby horse mentor, he’s now a gentle teacher for kids learning to ride. He’s got a soft spot for head cuddles, quiet trails, and taking life at a thoughtful pace. A solid, sweet soul that everyone falls in love with.

Cowboy
2014 | Paint | 15.1h
With his four white socks and bold blue eyes, Cowboy is impossible to miss. He’s done it all—from polo fields to gymkhana wins—and brings his big heart and playful spirit into every lesson. He knows tricks, loves attention, and still moves like the champion he is. Perfect for riders looking for a little extra speed and a lot of personality.

Dallas
"PSR Colonel Desi"
2019 | APHA | 15.2h
Young, curious, and laid-back, Dallas is the golden boy of the barn. His chill demeanor and smooth ride make him a go-to for easygoing lessons and relaxing trail rides. That cute split ear adds to his charm, and he’ll quickly win your heart with a friendly nuzzle—especially if you have a Mrs. Pastures treat in hand.

Fergie
2013 | Paint | 15.2h
Fergie is elegance and sweetness wrapped into one striking package. She went from polo pony to Shannen’s competition partner, and now shines as a kind and gentle lesson horse. Her soft eye and calm demeanor make her a barn favorite, and her perfect eyeliner makes her the most stylish horse around.

Romeo
2014 | Paint | 15h
True to his name, Romeo is a total heartthrob. With one blue eye and one half-blue, he’s as handsome as he is sweet. He shines in trail rides and barrel turns, and he's always game for a little fun in the pasture. Whether he's showing off his smooth gaits or cozying up for carrots, Romeo brings gentle confidence to every ride.

Bambi
2016 | Paint | 15h
Bambi is a head-turner with her grulla coat, stripe down her back, and heart-shaped dot in her blaze. She’s full of fire and fun, loving fast-paced patterns, trail rides, and local shows. After a good ride, she melts into cuddles and face rubs—and will definitely let you know when it’s snack time with her signature whinny.

C.C.
"Cowgirl Cyan"
2003 | Paint | 15h
C.C. is the wise, gentle soul of the barn. This stunning blue roan tobiano moves at her own steady pace—perfect for helping riders learn to post, steer, and build confidence. Once an English show horse, she now finds joy in teaching and connecting with her riders one quiet moment at a time. She loves having her mane braided and will reward you with a soft whinny and sweet lick if you come bearing peppermints. Calm, kind, and full of heart, C.C. is truly one-of-a-kind.

Lily
2005 | Paint | 15h
Lily is our sassy queen with a soft heart. She’s got a big personality and isn’t afraid to show it—especially if there are boy horses around (she’s not a fan). But beneath her spunky exterior is a kind, patient teacher who takes excellent care of her riders. She enjoys slow trots, popping over poles, and being pampered with treats and braids. You’ll usually find her smiling over her stall door, waiting for her grain—or someone to tell her how cute she is.
